Spring Trends 2012

Punchy Floral Prints – Floral prints are here again, only this time they are bright and bold. This print will pop on dresses, tops, shorts, & handbags.

The Cold Shoulder – Peekaboo shoulders are cut and slashed out of tees, blouses, dresses and tunics. This spring, if you’re baring your shoulders, you’re right on trend.

Sporty Chic – Sporty jackets, mesh fabrications and french terry will keep you comfortable and fashionable this season.

DRESS – From comfortable to casual chic to elegant, dresses continue to be all the rage. Wear them with flat sandals, wedges or heels depending on the occasion.

The Twenties – Drop-waists and sequins were just some of the glamorous elements that made up the '20s-inspired looks that infiltrated the runways of spring 2012.

She’s a Lady – Intricate embellishments and light hues create a ladylike vibe, but sheer hues ensure us that a lady is still allowed a little sex appeal.

On Safari – Animal print, tribal print and texture… oh my! If we had to pick a place of inspiration this spring it would be Africa.

Mad Women – Channel your inner Betty Draper with cinched waists and full skirts.

Graphic Art – Spring is about getting graphic. Whether it’s water-colored, digital or a mix- you’ll feel like a walking piece of art when wearing this trend.

Perfect Pairing – Forget those taboos about matchy-matchy dressing, because from paisley head-to-toe… to all-over florals— making sure your top and pants are equally patterned is all the rage.

Deep Sea – This season designers took a dive into the deep blue and came up with pearlized color, coral embellishments and shark-tooth necklaces. Think Ariel.

Monochromatic – Make a fashion statement by stepping out in head-to-toe grey, white, brown, black or whatever color you are feeling that day. Wearing one color from head to toe is daring – chances are you will be noticed as you walk down the street, but when it’s done well it’s perfectly chic and fashionable. Break up a monochromatic ensemble with a belt to lessen the dramatic look or go all out and make that fashion statement.

COLOR TRENDS

Khaki – The preppy trend wouldn’t exist without all shades of Khaki, and this Spring Khaki is key on the color wheel.

Canary – Bright attention getting yellow, along with soft pasty yellow paired with neutrals will be on trend this spring.

White – White is a staple for warm-weather dressing. For spring, its gone tailored, structured and utterly crisp.

Pink Ladies – From rose-hued skirts, to silky blush blouses…it’s all about the softer side of the color spectrum.

Sandstone – The color bone is essential for mixing and matching several different styles. Whether you’re channeling your boho vibe or finding your inner prep - THINK: NEUTRAL, NEUTRAL, NEUTRAL.

Poppy – Use a bright red or coral hue for a pop of color. This color is HUGE.

Ink – Think ‘blue pen explosion’ – a dark glossy blue/black color will dress up any outfit.

Orangeade – Bright orange was a re-occurring theme on the spring 2012 runways.

Grass – Shades of green look great on all skin tones, which makes it a shoo-in for one of the biggest colors of the season!

Tiffany Blue – If you’re giving the ‘20s trend a try, you must have this color in your closet.

Honey – This “sun-kissed nude” shade is one of the biggest neutral trends of the season. You’ll spot it on dresses, tops, tees and denim!
